A beautiful serpentine Regency style writing desk which was originally made in the 1950's. 

Of honest artisan construction, it incorporates the classic lines of the late Georgian Period with Marlborough style legs, two curved dovetail drawers and its original brass pull handle embodies a well used much loved piece of painted English furniture.

It is hand painted in deep Burgundy red colour, rich and confident a Baroque-inspired shade that will leave you mesmerised by its enduring character. The details highlighted in gold along with the square tapering legs with gold shoes and finished off with satin varnish for protection.

It stands 77cm high, 100cm wide and 43cm deep and from the floor to the bottom of the drawers where one would sit is 62cm high.

It can be used as a writing desk, a hall table, console table or a dressing table.
