I am excited to have this beautiful antique Regency style Lyre bench seat made solid mahogany 
This was made in England, and I would date it from around the 1950’s period.
 
It is a great size and is a very useful item, perfect for use as a window seat, at the end of a bed or in various settings around the home. 
This sits on elegant yet sturdy sabre shaped legs, which run all the way up into the scrolled and fluted back rests. The back rests are pierced and have beautifully carved harp motiffs with brass hardware.
 
I have re-polished it and the condition is excellent for its age.
